San Jose Mercury News - Chocolate Truffles are Architectural Wonders, Too
It's a chocolate truffle. It's an architectural wonder.
It's two treats in one!
Seattle Chocolates has unveiled a new brand of confections, JTruffles, that will appeal not just to the chocolate lover but also to the artist, the designer and engineer. Shunning the traditional dome shape, the chocolatiers developed pyramid truffles meant to evoke the style of the Art Deco era, the optimism of the Roaring Twenties. (Yeah, there's that little matter of 1929. Have another chocolate and put it out of your mind.)

New Brand of Chocolate Ganache Makes Industry Debut
Introducing JTruffles, a new brand of chocolate ganache truffles with unique shapes reminiscent of the glamorous Art Deco movement of the 1920s. These pyramid shaped truffles find their roots in ageless architecture from the early days of chocolate history when the Mayans used cacao as currency. JTruffles use that base shape and layer on art deco details that evoke memories of America’s glory days of opulence and excess.

As anyone who’s ever walked a food show with me knows, when someone mentions sampling chocolate, I’m there. So when the opportunity to sample J.Truffles from Seattle Chocolate came, I was more than ready. Visually, the truffles are cool-looking. They look like little pyramids—sort of little chocolate architectural wonders, complete with different designs on each one.
