Donation Request Policy


Seattle Chocolate Company is dedicated to community – both inside our walls and beyond. We favor Pacific Northwest based organizations that advocate on behalf of women, children and cancer research. Here are some of the organizations we’ve supported to date since 1996:

  • Fred Hutchinson Cancer Treatment Center
  • Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center
  • Gilda’s Club (www.gildasclub.com)
  • Athena Partners (www.athenapartners.org)

We welcome chocolate donation requests that contribute to such worthy causes from organizations with non-profit status. Because our chocolates are so beloved by women and the people who love them across the USA, we receive far more donation requests than we can possibly accommodate.

To earn our consideration for your donation request in the context of our annual donation budget, please send your requests in writing at least eight weeks prior to your scheduled event to this address and please limit your requests to one donation per calendar year:

Please include the following information on your organization's letterhead stationery:

  • WHO: Organization name, mission statement, and IRS 501(c)3 Tax ID number (non-profit status)
  • WHEN: The date of your event
  • WHAT: Description of event and the number of attendees expected to participate or attend
  • WHY: Description of intended use for donations in your event
  • WHERE:  The shipping address to which chocolates should be sent (no P.O. Boxes) if you elect not to pick up your products at the factory.
  • DETAILS: How many items are you requesting? Which specific items do you request? Please refer to the “Our Products” section of the www.seattlechocolates.com website for these details.

Important Note --Since Seattle Chocolate Company donates 100% of the profits from Survivor Chick and the Extreme Dark Truffle Bar to fund research to end women's cancers, please make requests for alternative items for your donations or requests for matching product.

A Note About Matching Contributions:

We allow non-profit organizations (with proof of 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status) to purchase our products at wholesale for fundraising purposes. You can send an email to information@seattlechocolates.com to request wholesale pricing and product details. Seattle Chocolate Company will consider matching the amount of product purchased at wholesale by approved and valid 501(c)(3) organizations.
